FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 30 – APRIL 5

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, March 29, through Friday, April 5, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, March 29, through Friday, April 5, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions on Sunday night, March 31, through Friday morning, April 5, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements. The School Street onramp to the H-1 Freeway westbound will be closed during this time. Motorists will be detoured via Palama Street and Vineyard Boulevard.

 

  • Lane closures in the westbound direction are between Vineyard Boulevard offramp (Exit 22) and the Liliha Street overpass.
  • Lane closures in the eastbound direction are between the Palama Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Middle Street Tunnel on Sunday, March 31, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., for electrical pole work.

 

5) HONOLULU (24-HOUR WORK)

Shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction in the vicinity of the Airport offramp (Exit 16) on Friday, March 29, through Friday, April 5, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail project.

6) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the eastbound H-1 Freeway between the Keehi Interchange and the Middle Street Tunnel on Wednesday, April 3, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for tunnel lighting work. Motorists traveling on the H-1 Freeway are advised to take the Dillingham Boulevard offramp or the Nimitz Highway offramp as an alternate route.

 

7) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)

Up to two lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Palama Street offramp (Exit 20C) and the Houghtailing Street offramp (Exit 20B) on Monday night, April 1, through Friday morning, April 5, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign work.

 

8) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)
Closure of the Airport offramp (Exit 16) from the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction on Monday night, April 1, through Tuesday morning, April 2, from 10 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for sign work. Motorists will be detoured through Center Drive.

Alternating lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction on the Airport offramp (Exit 16) on Tuesday night, April 2, through Friday morning, April 5, from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for sign work.

10) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)
Roving right lane and shoulder lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions in the vicinity of the Kaonohi Street overpass on Saturday night, Dec. 1, from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. for maintenance work.

11) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)
Closure of the Airport/Hickam AFB/Pearl Harbor offramp from the westbound H-1 Freeway on Monday night, April 1, through Friday morning, April 5, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign work. Motorists will be detoured to the Middle Street offramp (Exit 19A).

 

12) KAPOLEI (NIGHT WORK)

Up to two left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Kunia offramp (Exit 5B) and the Kapolei/Ewa offramp (Exit 3) on Monday night, April 1, through Friday morning, April 5, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign upgrades and replacement work.

 

13) KAPOLEI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Closure of the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Makakilo Drive overpass and the Campbell Industrial Park/Barbers Point Harbor offramp (Exit 1) on Sunday night, March 31, through Wednesday morning, April 3, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the Kapolei Interchange Complex Phase 2 project.

  • Two lanes will be closed on Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m., Sunday morning. A third lane will be closed between the hours of 8 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Closure of the Pali Highway (Route 61) in both directions between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway on Saturday, March 23, through Friday, March 29, over a 24-hour period, for slope stabilization work following the landslide. The Kailua-bound lanes will be temporarily open during the schedule below.

 

From Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5:

  • Honolulu-bound traffic will be contraflowed in the Kailua-bound lanes between Saint Stephen’s Diocesan Center and Nuuanu Pali Drive from 5 a.m. and 9 a.m.
  • The Kailua-bound direction will be open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Roving lane closure on the Pali Highway in the Kailua-bound direction between Waokanaka Street and the Pali Tunnels on Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

The Hanapepe River Bridge on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) between Puolo Road and Iona Road will be closed, and traffic will be shifted to the adjacent temporary bridge over a twenty-four-hour period, seven days a week. Speed limit is reduced to 25 mph.

 

2) LIHUE

Alternating lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) in both directions between Rice Street and Anonui Street on Monday, April 1, and Friday, April 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for pavement striping.

2) PAIA

Shoulder closure on Hana Highway (Route 36) in the westbound direction between Ulupua Place and Alawai Road on Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for retaining wall work.

 

3) PAIA

Intermittent closures of 15 min or less may also occur within the closure limits.

2) LAHAINA

Lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) in the northbound direction between Aholo Road and Lahainaluna Road on Monday, April 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscape maintenance.

 

3) OLOWALU (DAY AND NIGHT WORK)

Alternating lane closure on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30) in both directions between Kapoli Street and Pohaku Aeko Street on Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, for road restriping, barrier installations, and slope stabilization.

 

  • Monday night and Tuesday night – Alternating closure between 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Traffic will be contraflowed.
  • Wednesday through Friday – Lane shifts only from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
