Posted on Jan 11, 2019 in Latest Department News

HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) notifies the traveling public that the westbound lanes of Nimitz Highway between Peltier Avenue and Camp Caitlin Road will be closed between 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 and 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019.

HDOT is permitting the closure as the film production has secured a detour onto Nimitz Road via Peltier Avenue. During the closure hours, westbound motorists will be directed to take a right-hand turn onto Peltier Avenue, a left-hand turn onto Nimitz Road, and a left-hand turn onto Camp Catilin Road to resume travel on westbound Nimitz Highway.

Signage directing westbound motorists to the detour will be in place during the closure.
