MANOA RESIDENTS INVITED TO INFORMAL BRIEFING

Learn about what’s involved in project to reduce flooding hazard

 

Manoa residents are invited to attend an informal briefing to learn about a Department of Land and Natural Resources stream maintenance improvement project, done in collaboration with UH and the City and County of Honolulu. The nine-month project will reduce sediment deposits, and improve the stream carrying capacity and public health and safety during large rain events

 

Contractor Frank Coluccio Construction Co. will be repairing the grouted riprap apron upstream and downstream of the Woodlawn Drive bridge, do maintenance dredging of the Manoa Stream for approximately 400 linear feet downstream of the Woodlawn Drive bridge, and remove potential tree hazards close to the stream during construction.  

 

A previous meeting about the project was held on Monday, May 7, 2018, at the Noelani Elementary School cafeteria.
