Posted on Dec 19, 2017 in Latest Department NewsHONOLULU — The DLNR Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement (DOCARE), O‘ahu branch is conducting a ceremony for its newest enforcement vessel, “Kia‘i,” which means “guardian, to protect, to overlook.”
Details: Make and model is NAVATEK Seablade, 30’ in length, with twin Honda 250 horsepower outboard engines. Number Display assignment is HA 0681 XS and currently moored within Ke‘ehi Small Boat Harbor.
What: Traditional Hawaiian blessing of our newly constructed fleet vessel named Kia‘i,
HA 0681 XS.
When: Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at 10 a.m.
Where: Sand Island vessel launch/recovery ramp (blessing is not in Keehi small boat harbor – see attached map)
