NEWS RELEASE: EBT Benefits Issued as Usual; Correcting Misinformation

Posted on Jul 3, 2019 in Latest Department News

EBT Benefits Will Continue to be Issued as Normal

The Hawai‘i Department of Human Services (DHS) reassures clients, vendors and others impacted by EBT spending that benefits are still being issued on the 1st, 3rd and 5th of every month.

DHS recently heard from some vendors and clients on Hawai‘i Island that a flyer was circulating on social media and beyond. The flyer explains that benefits will soon be issued on different dates. This is not true. That flyer is only for the State of Nevada and has no impact on Hawai‘i EBT benefits.

Families and individuals who receive SNAP, TANF or other assistance on their EBT or debit cards should expect their benefits this month and every month on the same monthly dates they are used to receiving them. Clients may contact their processing center with any issues or questions about their benefits.
