PSD NEWS RELEASE: Laumaka work furlough inmate fails to return after work

HONOLULU – Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) work furlough inmate Steven Meyers failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center after work last night.  He was scheduled to return at 7:30 p.m.  State Sheriffs and Honolulu Police were notified.

Meyers is 49-years old. He is 6’0” and weighs 246 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He is serving time for Criminal Property Damage 1. His next parole hearing is scheduled for November of this year.

Meyers is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program.  Inmates in the work furlough program are either actively seeking employment or working in the community.  Community custody is the lowest classification status.
