PSD NEWS RELEASE: Missing Laumaka work furlough inmate captured

HONOLULU – Missing Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) work furlough inmate Steven Meyers was located and arrested by Honolulu Police.  Meyers failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center after work on September 14, 2016.

He is serving time for Criminal Property Damage 1. He faces an Escape 2 charge.

Meyers was a community custody inmate in the work furlough program.  Inmates in the work furlough program are either actively seeking employment or working in the community.  Community custody is the lowest classification status.
