PSD NEWS RELEASE: Missing Laumaka work furlough inmate voluntarily turns himself in to OCCC

HONOLULU – Missing Laumaka work furlough inmate Ronald Medeiros has voluntarily turned himself in to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center. He left the work furlough center Sunday morning to go to work.  He was supposed to return by 9:30 p.m.

Medeiros is serving time for Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle. Parole was tentatively approved and pending a release date set by the parole chair.  He now faces an additional escape charge.

Medeiros is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. Community custody is the lowest classification status.
