PSD NEWS RELEASE: Two missing work furlough inmates captured and returned to OCCC

HONOLULU – Missing work furlough inmate George Goings was captured on Molokai yesterday morning by Maui County Police officers assigned to Molokai.  Goings was located and arrested based on information cultivated and provided by Sheriff Deputies assigned to the Fugitive Unit and Capitol Patrol Unit.  Sheriffs are transporting him back to the Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) today.

43-year old Goings was a community custody inmate at the Laumaka Work Furlough Center.  He was reported missing from an overnight headcount on May 31, 2015.  Goings was serving time for various drug charges and ownership/possession of a prohibited firearm.  He faces an additional escape charge.

Missing work furlough inmate Rene Adriatico was arrested by Honolulu Police and returned to OCCC last night at about 11:30 p.m.

Adriatico failed to return to OCCC Module 20 after work on August 1, 2015.  He is classified as community custody which is the lowest custody level.  The 49-year old was serving time for drug charges including Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia and Promoting a Dangerous Drug. Escape 2 is expected to be added to his charges.
