OAHU LANE CLOSURES

FOR THE WEEKEND OF JUNE 29 – JULY 1

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

 

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) EWA (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction at the Kunia/Waipahu/Ewa offramp (Exit 5) on Saturday, June 30, from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., for electrical maintenance work.

 

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Queen Emma Street overpass and the Nuuanu Avenue overpass on Friday, June 29, through Friday, July 6, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour shoulder closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, June 29, through Friday, July 6, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Vineyard Boulevard offramp (Exit 22) and the School Street offramp (Exit 21A) on Sunday night, July 1, through Tuesday morning, July 3, and Thursday night, July 5, through Friday morning, July 6, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements. The westbound Punchbowl Street onramp will be closed during this time. Traffic will be detoured.

 

5) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Alternating lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Waikiki/Nimitz Highway offramp (Exit 18A) and the Middle Street overpass on Saturday, June 30, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

6) PEARL HARBOR (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Ramp closures on the H-1 Freeway in both directions at the Pearl Harbor Interchange on Sunday night, July 1, through Friday morning, July 6, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for The Rail project.

7) PEARL CITY (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Up to three lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass on Friday night, June 29, through Monday morning, July 2, for pavement work.

 

Friday night

Eastbound: Two lanes close at 6:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 7:30 p.m. All lanes reopen at 6:30 a.m. The shoulder will be closed.
Westbound: Two lanes close at 7:30 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 10:30 a.m. The shoulder will be closed.

 

Saturday night

Eastbound: One lane closed at 6 p.m. Two lanes close at 7 p.m. Three lanes close at 8 p.m. All lanes reopen at 10:30 a.m. The shoulder will be closed.
Westbound: Two lanes close at 6 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 10:15 a.m. The shoulder will be closed.

 

Sunday night

Westbound: Two lanes close at 8 p.m. Three lanes close at 9 p.m. All lanes reopen at 3 a.m. The shoulder will be closed.

1) KANEOHE (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-3 Freeway in the Kaneohe-bound direction between the Hospital Rock Tunnel and the Likelike Highway offramp (Exit 9) on Saturday, June 30, from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m., for electrical maintenance work.

 

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

 

1) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on Farrington Highway in the westbound direction between Nanakuli Avenue and Helelua Street on Sunday night, July 1, through Tuesday morning, July 3, and Thursday night, July 5, through Friday morning, July 6, from 8:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for drain line installations.

 

2) NANAKULI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Left lane closed on Farrington Highway in both directions between Hakimo Road and Helelua Street on Sunday night, July 1, through Tuesday morning, July 3, and Thursday night, July 5, through Friday morning, July 6, from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for pavement striping.

 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

 

1) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND WORK)

Roving lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between Laukahi Street and Kalaniiki Street on Saturday, June 30, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

2) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two lanes closed on Kalanianaole Highway in the eastbound direction between Kalaniiki Street and West Hind Drive on Sunday night, July 1, through Tuesday morning, July 3, and Thursday night, July 5, through Friday morning, July 6, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for pavement resurfacing work. Traffic will be contraflowed in the westbound lanes.

 

 

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

 

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of Salt Lake Boulevard on Friday, June 29, through Friday, July 6, over a twenty-four hour period, for The Rail project.

Up to two lanes closed on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Middle Street and Puuhale Road on Sunday night, July 1, through Friday morning, July 6, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail project.

Alternating lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue at the Kipapa Stream (Roosevelt) Bridge on Saturday, June 30, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, July 2, through Tuesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 5, for bridge rehabilitation work. Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

Monday and Thursday closure from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday closure from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

 

 

— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY —

 

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on Likelike Highway in the Honolulu-bound direction between the Wilson Tunnel and Kula Kolea Drive on Saturday, June 30, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

24-hour lane closure on Nimitz Highway in the eastbound direction between Center Drive and Valkenburgh Street on Friday, June 29, through Friday, July 6, for The Rail project. Up to two lanes will be closed on Sunday night, July 1, through Friday morning, July 6, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
