When:   Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.

Governor David Ige will welcome more than 50 student athletes and coaches from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in a special proclamation ceremony this evening at 5:30 in the Governor’s ceremonial room located on the 5th floor of the Hawai‘i State Capitol.  Governor Ige will present official proclamations to the Rainbow Wahine Sand Volleyball team, Rainbow Wahine Water Polo Team and the Rainbow Warrior Men’s Volleyball Team for their recent accomplishments in representing UH in their respective NCAA and AVCA National Championships.  A special certificate will also be given to student members of the UH Swimming and Diving and UH Women’s Tennis teams which also participated in the NCAA national championships for their respective sports.

 

The ceremony will be LIVE streamed via Governor Ige’s website (governorige.hawaii.gov) and photos of the ceremony will be uploaded to the Governor’s official flicker account following the conclusion of the presentation.
