PSD NEWS RELEASE: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY COVID-19 UPDATE

HONOLULU – COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in our state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ. The latest testing updates received for the correctional facilities are as follows:

Halawa Correctional Facility – 27 inmate test results: 2 positive, 25 negative. 3 inmates recovered dropping the total active positive inmate count to 62. 1 staff recovered, dropping total active staff cases to 2.

Kauai Community Correctional Center – 27 inmate test results: 15 positive, 12 negative. 1 positive staff test result.

Oahu Community Correctional Center – 3 inmate test results: 2 positive, 1 negative. 1 positive staff test result.

Women’s Community Correctional Center – 1 negative inmate test results

Waiawa Correctional Facility – 1 negative inmate test results
