PSD News Release: Department of Public Safety COVID-19 update

HONOLULU – COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in the state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ. The latest testing updates received for other correctional facilities are as follows:

Oahu Community Correctional Center – 215 inmate test results: One (1) positive, 214 negative. One (1) inmate has recovered, and two (2) staff have recovered and return to duty.

Halawa Correctional Facility – 32 inmate test results: One (1) positive, 31 negative. One (1) positive staff result was also reported.

Hawaii Community Correctional Center – One (1) negative inmate test result. There was one (1) staff recovery reported.

Women’s Community Correctional Center – Four (4) negative inmate test results.

Kauai Community Correctional Center – Three (3) negative inmate test results.
