PSD News Release: Department of Public Safety COVID-19 Update

HONOLULU – COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in the state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ. The latest testing updates received for other correctional facilities are as follows:

Oahu Community Correctional Center – 48 inmate results: One (1) positive, 47 negative.

Halawa Correctional Facility – One (1) staff recovery reported. The facility is clear of all active COVID-19 cases.  

Hawaii Community Correctional Center – 44 negative inmate test results.

Kauai Community Correctional Center – Seven (7) negative inmate test results and one (1) negative staff test result.

Maui Community Correctional Center – Four (4) negative inmate test results.

Women’s Community Correctional Center – Four (4) negative inmate test results.
