PSD News Release: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY COVID-19 UPDATE

HONOLULU – COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in the state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ. The latest testing updates received for the correctional facilities are as follows:

Halawa Correctional Facility – 106 inmate test results; 7 positive, 99 negative. There was also one (1) positive employee result reported.

Women’s Community Correctional Center – 15 inmate test results; Two (2) positive, 13 negative.

Oahu Community Correctional Center – 80 inmate test results; One (1) positive, 79 negative.

Kauai Community Correctional Center – 17 inmate test results; One (1) positive, 16 negative.

Waiawa Correctional Facility – Four (4) inmates and four (4) staff have recovered.

Hawaii Community Correctional Center – Eight (8) negative inmate test results.

COVID-19 updates for other PSD Divisions are as follows:

Sheriff Division – One (1) positive staff test result reported.

Administrative Division – Seven (7) admin staff have recovered.

Attached Agencies (HPA, CVCC) – One (1) Hawaii Paroling Authority employee has recovered.
