PSD News Release: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY COVID-19 UPDATE
Posted on Feb 9, 2022 in Latest Department News, NewsroomHONOLULU – COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in the state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ. The latest testing updates received for the correctional facilities are as follows:
Maui Community Correctional Center – 37 inmate test results; One (1) positive, 36 negative. 17 staff test results; One (1) positive, 16 negative.
Kauai Community Correctional Center – Six (6) inmate test results; Two (2) positive, four (4) negative. Six (6) employees have recovered.
Oahu Community Correctional Center – Five (5) inmate test results; Two (2) positive, three (3) negative.
Women’s Community Correctional Center – One (1) positive inmate test result. One (1) employee has recovered.
Waiawa Correctional Facility – One (1) previously reported positive inmate was released. The inmate population is clear of all active COVID-19 cases.
Hawaii Community Correctional Center – Two (2) negative inmate test results.
COVID-19 updates for other PSD Divisions are as follows:
Sheriff Division – One (1) employee has recovered.
