PSD News Release: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY COVID-19 UPDATE

HONOLULU – COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted statewide at all facilities. Maui Community Correctional Center (MCCC) reports one positive staff case. The employee last worked 7/19/21. The Hawaii Community Correctional Center (HCCC) reports five inmate test results, one of which was positive and 4 were negative. HCCC also reports 14 negative staff test results. The one remaining active positive employee and two inmates have recovered.

The latest testing updates received for other facilities are as follows:

Oahu Community Correctional Center – 39 negative inmate test results

Women’s Community Correctional Center- 2 negative inmate test results
