HDOT News Release: Public Informational Meeting Scheduled for Kamehameha Highway Emergency Roadwork in Ka’a’awa

HONOLULU — The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) will hold a public meeting to discuss upcoming repairs to Kamehameha Highway in the vicinity of the Crouching Lion Inn in Kaaawa.  The meeting will include a presentation of the proposed construction alternatives being considered, which includes nighttime and weekend work to minimize the construction duration.  HDOT representatives will be available to answer questions on the project.  The meeting is scheduled at the following location and time:

Tuesday, April 21, 2015
7 to 8 p.m.
Kaaawa Elementary School Cafeteria
51-296 Kamehameha Highway

Construction is expected to begin as early as the end of April with completion of construction within three to five months depending on the construction alternative selected and lane closure times.  Weekly lane closure information will be posted at the HDOT website at https://hidot.hawaii.gov/highways/roadwork/oahu.
