Budget

Each year a balanced Administration budget will be submitted to the Legislature. New spending proposals will be closely examined to ensure that they are essential to our state, a plan has been developed to monitor new expenditures, and an accountability system is in place to measure the success of all new programs or expenditures.

Necessary resources will be allocated to the State Department of Taxation for the successful implementation of the tax modernization project. The project will significantly increase the collection of backlogged taxes already owed to the state minimizing the need for new taxation.
